10 weeks -- ZOE JUST ROLLED OVER! 3 TIMES IN A ROW!!

Okay, forgive my enthusiasm but the baby books say this isn't supposed to happen until
she's at least 4 months old.  Some say 6 months.

Zoe is 10 weeks old.

And she just did this:

Three times in a row!!!

The third time we just put her on her stomach (no pillow) and she flopped right over, to enthusiastic applause and great cheering from the three spectators in attendance.

And look at that smile!!!

Aunt Meme is so proud!

Week 9

Week 9 we said goodbye to Grammie and Aunt Sue who flew all the way
from New York to meet the little Princess.

Zoe was exhausted from entertaining but we had such a lovely visit and
felt very fortunate to have them as guests.

Hey, it's Hollywood.  Gotta do a photo shoot, right?

.
They also got to see Dream (Lori's most favorite horse) showing off in the corral next to our home.

But with every goodbye, life gives us another chance to say hello.
(that's not a saying but it should be)

Aunt Amy came to visit from Texas!!!

Zoe's put on 50% of her birth weight and her neck strength (at 9 weeks) astonished her doctor.
Also, she knows that Mom's the best.

Zoe made sure Aunt Meme (as she's known) had plenty of time for stargazing.

Most importantly, Zoe learned how to smile.

The best part of my day is waking up and holding Zoe as she first opens her eyes.

She must have good dreams each night because she favors me with the most beautiful smiles.
It melts my heart.

8 weeks -- And a visit from Grammie and Great-Aunt Sue!

This week Grammie and Great Aunt Sue flew in from
Upstate NY to meet little Zoe!

Grammie and Zoe

Zoe was so relieved Grammie made it safe and sound.

Great Aunt Sue and the little munchkin.

Mommy got into the photo-action...

And look!  Daddy was there, too!

Grammie brought Zoe (from Sesame Street) all the way across the country
to meet Zoe (from Riverside Drive).

Zoe (from Riverside Drive) was not star struck by the celebrity appearance.

But she didn't spend all her time sleeping.

My, Granmmie, what a big lens you have.

Grammie and Great Aunt Sue did a little sight seeing...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Great-Aunt Sue made some new friends.

....and Zoe turned 8 weeks old!

Look at that smile

A study in sleep

Well, week 7 has been a lovely and relaxing time here in the Bernat household.

At least for one of us.

The little princess seems content to doze off pretty much anywhere.

...and I do mean anywhere.

creative sleeping.

Mommy busies herself taking portraits of Zoe's toes.

And sometimes we get out to visit with our naaaaaybors
