Zoe turned 3!

It's been a wonderful couple of months here in Burbank.

Zoe's learning so many new things.
Like how to count in Spanish!

Zoe loves it when someone in the neighborhood turns
on their sprinklers!

We were on the way to the park when we came across these...

Once we got to the park, Zoe surprised me by swinging
all by herself for the first time ever!

Wish you were there.

Actually...you can see for yourself!

Daddy was very proud.

A few nights later we got to go see the Beat Buds at the library!

Zoe loves the Beat Buds and listens to them all the time at home.

At their concerts, they hand out lots of fun instruments and
let the kids make music, too!

Zoe and Evie rocked out together.

Then they brought out the parachute and Zoe hopped under!

Zoe and Evie formed their own drum circle for the big finale.

After the show, Zoe ran up and got a big high-5 from
one of the Beat Buds...but Daddy was a little slow on the
camera and missed the moment.

We've been spending lots of time outside.

One afternoon Zoe and Daddy went outside to look for the perfect stick.

Zoe found it.

We went to Descanso Gardens for an outdoor concert and some dinner.
Then we wandered around the gardens and could still hear the music
as the sun set.

Pretty special place.

Zoe loves visiting her turtle friends at Descanso...
and they love it every time she visits!

Then it was time for someone's Birthday!

Zoe got to meet Geofrey and he gave her a birthday balloon
and a big high-5.

The lovely people at Lori's gym gave Zoe this awesome birthday cupcake.

That weekend we woke up early...'cause we had a couple parties to host!

Zoe got all dressed up in her birthday outfit.

We piled in the car and went to the Great Escape Club...

FOR ZOE'S 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY!

YJ and Anna are two of Zoe's oldest friends.

We spent about an hour playing and then it was time for cake!

We lit the candles...

Sang "Happy Birthday" and...

Zoe blew out the candles!

The cake was delicious.

Especially at 11am.

(and over the next 10 days while we devoured the rest of it)

Then the sugared-up kids piled into the bouncy house.

First just Zoe and Rhys...

Then Anna joined them...

Pretty soon it was THE place to be!

Then it was back to the house for Party #2!

Evie came over and so did Zoe's friend, Karlee!

They saw the HUGE pile of gifts and dove right in.
It was like something off Shark Week.

More and more friends arrived with more and more gifts.

We tried to keep track of who gave what but quickly there was
wrapping paper and ribbon everywhere and we just kinda gave up

(sorry, everyone.  We're still learning, too)

But Zoe had a blast and got the most incredible gifts!

Zoe ate her own body weight in popcorn and pizza.

We thought it was cute.

Not so much at 3am.

The party raged until well after dinner.

Zoe got this awesome PJ Masks outfit (this is Owlette)
and put it on immediately.

Evil Doers beware!

She got this awesome Elmo puzzle and loves putting it together.

Zoe got a baking set and makes us cookies every night.

She also got this neat card from Grandma and Grandpa that she
plays with as much as her new toys!

Zoe also got a sweet scooter for her bday and
asks everyday if we can go for a ride.

Thank you to everyone for your incredible generosity and
for sharing your weekend with us.

On her actual birthday we went out for Ramen
and Zoe got a little silly with her slice of orange.

Sweet dreams, little Blondie.

The next week we drove down to Orange County to see a
special Doc McStuffins exhibit at the Discovery Cube!

Zoe got to play at the reception desk.

And in the nursery for baby toys...

She even got to X-ray a stuffed animal!

Then we explored the rest of the science museum where
she got to drive a Zamboni!

The next week, one of Zoe's friends had a birthday party
and we went to celebrate!

It was a hot afternoon and Zoe loved playing with the water mister.

All that water ran off into some really fun puddles...

and Zoe couldn't help herself!

Spalsh!

Splash!

As if that wasn't enough fun, there were BUBBLES!

Stretching the limits of our energy (and the strength of our legs)
we went to an after-dark event at the Zoo!

For some reason, we were the only ones there!

Zoe had the Zoo to herself!

We saw some Gorillas, petted a snake and a skink, and
visited with some Piranha....

Then we went for a ride on the carousel!

Exhausted from our day, we went home for some sleep.

Zoe was so excited to sleep on her new PJ Masks sheets!

Well, that's about it.

Zoe's excited for the start of football season.

Oh, and one more thing.

Usually I end my blogs with a cute pic of Zoe but I think
this is the perfect time to introduce Zoe's Baby Brother...

Stay tuned.  Lots of excitement to come.
