Grammie came to visit!!!

Grammie flew all the way to California to visit!

Grammie thinks Zoe grows more and more each day.

We think so, too.

Zoe is now eating mostly finger-foods.
She LOVES bread and broccoli.

Here she is eating a bread stick as a special treat!

Zoe is also learning to use her spoon.

She's getting better at it, too!

And after a meal it's always a good idea to brush your teeth...

All 6 of them!

Clean up is a bit more involved, now.

Zoe showed us that she could walk with a little assistance
so we bought her this neat push wagon!

She always wants to push it around.

She even practices on the furniture!

She loves climbing the stairs and is really fast, now.

The view from the top is pretty great.

All that practice really paid off.  Zoe is now walking on her own!

Mommy is so proud!

Zoe is pretty proud of herself, too!

Zoe is starting to get more affectionate.

She loves to give kisses and hugs.

Even her horsey gets some kisses.

We also joined the LA Zoo and Zoe has already gone four times!

Nobody told me those giraffes are SO BIG in person!

Zoe thinks those horses have some pretty spiffy clothes.

After going to the zoo, Grammie and Zoe look at her zoo book
to remember all the animals they saw together!

Grammie also wanted to celebrate Zoe's first birthday so
we got Zoe a little cupcake and sang her a birthday song.

Then Zoe got to open some presents!

This one's bigger than I am!

Zoe got a hair brush and got right to work!

Thanks for the awesome gifts!

Zoe and Mommy went to the pool to cool down.

But the pool is nothing like the beach.

So we went to Malibu!

Daddy pulled over at Malibu Creek State Park so Zoe
would have a chance to get out of the car and look around.

But Zoe wanted to get to the beach!

She loved it.

Thanks, Dad!  This place is great!

Grammie had fun, too!  It was her first time seeing the Pacific ocean!

Not exactly a Coppertone ad, but you get the idea.

Zoe was nice enough to make sure we all got
to spend some time with her at the beach.

Our model daughter.

Then it was time to go home and take some birthday pics of our little angel.

...and there's always time to go to our 'zoo' next door.

Thanks for visiting, Grammie!

We hope to see you again soon!
