Happy Hanukkah!

Before we get to the presents, let's take a look back at the week we had...

Zoe is growing -- she's now more than double her birth weight (at a healthy 13lbs) and we find ourselves exclaiming "remember when she didn't even fit in that?!" about just about everything.

One example is this towel:

...another is the baby carrier.

Before, Zoe's head didn't even clear the top.
Now she can look at everything!

Zoe loves her toys (especially when they are in her mouth)

And she's getting really good at impressions.
Look at her imitate the polar bear on her bib!
SNL, here she comes!

So this week was the start of Zoe's first Hanukkah.
Grandma and Grandpa sent some wonderful presents and Zoe had a blast opening them!

Zoe's first ever Hanukkah present

She likes it.

Check that.  SHE LOVES IT!

what is this sorcery...?

I love it!  It belongs in my mouth!

Dad -- this is AWESOME!  It's like Christmas!

Distracted by her favorite musical ornament...

Zoe also got some early Xmas gifts from Grammie and Grandad

Tongue out for concentration

Whoever this kid's parents are apparently don't feed her enough.  Poor kid.

Another musical ornament?!  BEST.  HANUKKAH.  EVER.

That's it for this week.
Thanks for looking -- see you next week!

Zoe is 4 months old!

Happy Four Months!

Um...Lori?  Should we stop watching "The Walking Dead" in front of Zoe...?

There are 2 monkeys in this picture...

Pensive Zoe thinking back on the past 4 months...

At four months, Zoe has become much more comfortable
with her hands, grabbing and holding onto toys...

...and us.

Zoe wanted to thank her cousin Lillian for this toy.  She loves it!

Zoe can sit up (using corners) and loves practicing her smile.
This week she had LOTS of reasons to smile -- look at her new clothes and toys!
Wardrobe courtesy of Judy Lea.  Toys courtesy of Zahava.  THANK YOU!

Zoe still migrates in the night.
We never know which corner she'll be in nor which limb will be sticking through the bars.

Notice she's on her side...

With the tree up and decorated, Zoe loves a Christmas ornament that lights up and (magically) plays a song when Mommy and Daddy want to give her a thrill.

When the music plays, she coos and hums along...

...and grabs and pulls and rips it out of our hands with joy.

For your viewing pleasure, below is a video of Zoe and the ornament,
while Mommy holds on for dear life.

Happy Thanksgiving!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We had a lovely first Thanksgiving together.  Aunt Deb and Uncle Brian came up to visit, and our friend Zahava came over to share the day with us.  Unfortunately, Daddy was so preoccupied making the meal he completely forgot to take pics of Zahava, the spread...pretty much anything you would want to see.

Daddy was busy, but the meal came out perfect (you'll just have to take my word for it) and everyone seemed to have a great time.  Especially this little bug:

This was Zoe's first outfit.  Then she had a wardrobe change:

Wait'll they get a load of me!

After dinner there was a lot of hanging out on the couch.

Continuing the "Selfie" tradition...

And a phone call with Grandma was the perfect way to cap off the night.

Can you hear me now?

The next day, Zoe and Mommy horsed around...

Deb and Brian got to know little Zoe even better...

I mostly wanted to get a pic of Brian with Zoe wearing the Laker's bib.

And the rest of the long weekend was A LOT of hanging out and relaxing.

Zoe said I'm even more comfy than the green couch.
(that's pretty darn comfy...)

So much for Mommy's "no TV...ever" rule.  Oops.

Zoe with Aunt Deb

Daddy help!  She's going to use up all the kisses!
(ps --> ain't Mommy's hair pretty?!)

The other exciting development is, because Zoe's neck is so strong,
we unpacked and set up her over-stimulation machine
(aka: the Jungle Jumperoo Lori's cousins Brian and April so generously gave us)

Daddy -- look at all this STUFF!

Look at THAT!

...and look at THAT!

So far, each ride in the Jumparoo has resulted in a nice, long nap.

..but we don't mind 'cause she's so cute when she wakes up!

Look at that smile!
