Zoe can STAND UP!

We're going to start this week off with a little video.

Zoe and I were goofing around one morning and it took a second
for me to realize that she had taught herself a new trick...

SHE CAN STAND UP!

Like...not holding onto anything.

Like this:

This was the first time Mommy saw her stand up!

And now she does it all the time!

Look, Ma!  No hands!

Why do you keep taking my picture?  I'm just standing around...

Of course all that standing takes it's toll.

She's just playing possum.  She never ACTUALLY naps.

Zoe was so excited with her new trick she wanted to tell everyone about it.

Here we are chatting with Grandma and Grandpa.

Hi, Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Then we had some other friends over, including Harley, Wyatt, and Delilah.

Zoe did great!  She loved hanging out with the big kids.

Oh, and then Michelle and Buddha came over, too!

For scale, that rug is six feet long.

For Father's Day, Zoe took us to Malibu!

It was her first time putting her toes in the sand.

Zoe wasn't sure about all the new sensations at first...

But Mommy brought her down to the water...

And pretty soon Zoe realized Malibu is a pretty fun place!

Squishy smile for Mama.

Zoe took this selfie.

Then Daddy and Zoe went down to the water.

The beach cleared out as the sun started to set.

That's when the lighting is the best.

My two ladies.

That's it -- time to go home!

Someday when Zoe is inducted into the Rock 'N Roll Hall Of Fame
for her drumming I'll send them this pic.

Buh-dum...crash!

This week, Grammie and Grandad sent Zoe a package...

It tastes like...turtle?

The last big development is that Zoe has taught herself how to climb the stairs.

Lori said she climes all the way to the top floor three times a day!

We like her so active because it helps her sleep.
Then she wakes up happy!

She really loves books!
Lori caught her reading in her Exersauser.

Ahhh!  You caught me!

I'll leave you this week with a lovely portrait of our little angel.

Have a great rest of your week!

  3. Love all of it! So happy to see her learning new "tricks" and all the smiles of course! Now that she is standing, make sure and get her some new kicks so she can start running (lol). I better make sure I have some awesome shoes with me for the next time I'm out to visit. She's a girl after my own heart with looking at the water at the beach. That's my favorite part too. Lots of love, hugs and kisses to Zoe (and you guys too!).
