Week 13

It's week 13 and we have one adorable, happy baby on our hands.

Zoe sticking her tongue out at me for being such a dork.

This week Zoe spent lots of time observing and interacting with her surroundings.

She spends a large part of her day playing on her play mat.

She is now able to reach up and grasp the toys.

During tummy time she loves looking at her toys.

When we're lucky, Zoe will squeal her laugh which sounds like, "Ha-WOOO!" and is the loveliest sound I've ever heard.

Mommy gives the very best kisses.

She's increasingly interested in chewing on things...

...and Mommy still can't resist documenting Zoe's magical toes.

Sometimes, after a bath, Zoe's hair gets a little out of control.

Martin Short -- eat your heart out.

Here's a bonus pic from the party last week.

That's it for week 13 -- sweet dreams!

Happy 3 months, Zoe!

Happy 3 Months, Zoe!

To celebrate Zoe's big milestone we got all dressed up
and went to a swanky party downtown.
I'm told the party was to launch Konnect PR's beautiful new office space,
but we know the real reason.

The Bernats at KPR

There was sushi, champagne, a DJ, and a few hundred beautiful people
who squealed with joy when they saw little miss Zoe in her party dress.
Most found themselves incapable of resisting the urge
to run up and (this is true) grab Zoe's feet.

It was like some strange magnetism -- I'm not exactly sure what power
lies in Zoe's feet, but apparently nobody can resist it.

Nancy eventually gave her back.  Eventually.

The good news is Zoe handled it like a champ.

She was paraded around the party and met each person in attendance like a politician
drumming up votes.  She loved the music and even let Mommy eat some sushi.

At one point she was given a pair of Babiators sunglasses.

Zoe does her best Elvis.

At this point, Mom and Dad were just along for the ride.

You're looking at my feet, aren't you?  You know you want to squeeze them...

She stayed awake (and happy) for almost two straight hours before taking a quick catnap.

That night Mommy and Daddy were treated to 7 hours of continuous sleep.

The next morning...

Otherwise, we've been treated to more smiles...

And more visits to Dream and our four-legged "neighbors."

Zoe really loves her mobile...

...and that's about all we know!

Week 10 -- Special Aunt Meme edition

Sorry for going a little out of order, but Aunt Meme was generous enough to post the pictures she took while visiting us a few weeks ago and  I wanted to share a few of my favorites.  She's done a much better job of documenting all the little moments that we were lucky enough to share, and that we wish you could all be a part of.

So without further ado:

While Aunt Meme was visiting, Little Zoe discovered two things:  her hands, and how to smile.
Here are some pics of her discovery:

Look Ma -- HANDS!

And oh, that smile...

Sometimes we grabbed Aunt Meme's camera and turned it around on her:

Love this pic

Hellooooo from Burbank!

Zoe looks different in this pic...

Aunt Meme snuck in after bath time...

This is how Lori carries Zoe around.   I guess it's natural...?

Okay, back to the smiles!

How can you resist that?!

Thanks for all the memories, Aunt Meme!

Week 11

Well, the little lady continues to learn new tricks.

Zoe's sleeping in the crib, sometimes all night (!) and her newest exploit is to scootch herself
to the edge of the crib and hang a foot through the bars.

Doesn't matter where we place her when she's asleep...

...she wakes up all smiles...fishing, I guess.

Speaking of sleep, Zoe's learned to sooth herself with her delicious hands.

Mom loves it.  Dad pretends he has no idea where she learned that from.

Zoe also posed for a picture for her 11th week.
She smiles all the time.

We've been going for walks each day.
Zoe got a little over-excited one day and learned just how big Mom's shoes are to fill.

Our flowers are in bloom, and Lori's chrysanthemum
bloomed for the first time since we replanted it.

That's it -- more next week!
